George Gould is the Broker Relationship Management Director of I–RE, where he leads I–RE’s United States sales team for the RE–PAID Program. With over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, George has developed and managed extensive relationships with brokers, captive intermediaries, and managers, while also expanding new business opportunities across similar entities. His experience spans senior management roles in underwriting, claims, and marketing for national and regional carriers, surplus lines brokers, and retail brokers.

George is a graduate of the University of Maine with dual majors in Business Marketing and Management, and has completed executive studies at CEDEP in Fontainebleau, France. He holds multiple industry designations and licenses, including CPCU, ARM, AIC, LOMA, and has served as National Governor for CPCU in the Northeast Region, President of the Maine Chapter of CPCU, and President of the Claim Managers Council in Massachusetts and Maine.

Recognized for his contributions, George was awarded the Eagle of Excellence by the Maine Chapter of CPCU as Insurance Person of the Year. He is also an accomplished educator and author, having taught continuing education courses and contributed to CPCU textbooks and exams.

Aoife Taylor

Aoife Taylor is I–RE’s Sales and Relationship Manager. She is a highly experienced insurance and captive insurance professional with a strong track record in business development, client engagement, and program growth across the U.S., Bermuda, UK, and Europe. She combines technical insurance knowledge with proven commercial leadership, supporting I–RE’s expansion through strong broker relationships, disciplined account management, and a deep understanding of captive structures and fronted programs.

At I–RE, Aoife plays a central role in the sales team, vetting new business opportunities, coordinating underwriting data, managing broker and client relationships, and representing the brand across industry channels. Her ability to translate complex program structures strengthens I–RE’s market presence and supports profitable growth across its U.S. portfolios.

Aoife previously served as Director of Program Development & Underwriting at Align Risk Solutions, where she helped grow its captive portfolio considerably organically and through the integration an acquisition. Aoife is the independent resident director for many North Carolina domiciled captives. She serves as Vice Chair of the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association, reflecting her expertise and reputation within the captive insurance sector. Earlier positions at Gallagher, Howden and Marsh Management Services further developed her skills in program development, sales strategy, and managing complex commercial and captive insurance clients.

Aoife holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies, a Financial Services Diploma (Dip F.S. INS) and a Professional Diploma in Insurance (CIP) from the Insurance Institute of Ireland, supported by specialized training in reinsurance and captive management.

David Berlanga

David is a Sales Account Manager at I–RE, bringing commercial insurance experience and a strong sales background supporting U.S. brokers and insureds. He plays an important role in expanding I–RE’s program participation by guiding prospects through the sales cycle, providing clear program education, and coordinating closely with underwriting to move qualified submissions toward binding.

Before joining I–RE, David served as an Account Representative at Marsh, helping manage 20 commercial accounts totalling $21M in premium. His responsibilities included preparing underwriting submissions, analyzing quotes, building proposals, issuing binders and endorsements, and coordinating premium audits across a wide range of commercial coverages. His ability to manage complex servicing workflows and maintain strong carrier and client relationships supported long‑term account retention.

David previously worked in sales operations, CRM optimization, and health insurance brokerage, giving him a strong operational foundation and client‑centric mindset. He holds active Texas General Lines licenses in Property & Casualty and Life & Health and is licensed in more than 20 additional states. David’s combined technical knowledge and sales expertise support I–RE’s disciplined underwriting and service delivery for its RE–PAID program.

Darren is a Property & Casualty Underwriter at I–RE with more than 20 years of experience across the insurance, reinsurance, and captive/alternative risk markets. He brings a strong technical background in pricing, capital modelling, and financial analysis to support disciplined risk selection and consistent portfolio performance for I-RE insurer-partners and insureds.

At I–RE, Darren underwrites U.S. multi class risks, including Property, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, and Auto. Operating within a delegated authority frameworks to select and structure risks, working closely with brokers to drive execution on placements and maintain strong market relationships.

Previously, Darren served as a Vice President at Enstar Group Ltd, performing underwriting grade reserve and tail risk analysis to inform portfolio strategy for it’s Bermuda operating entities. He also held senior finance and capital modelling roles at Mitsui Sumitomo Reinsurance, supporting global P&C, Marine, Aviation and Energy portfolios, and played a key role in establishing Viribus Re, a fully collateralized ILS backed quota share vehicle providing over $60 million of capacity. Earlier experience at Marsh Captive Solutions developed his expertise in Bermuda captive structures and alternative risk transfer underwriting analytics.

A Chartered Insurer (ACII), Fellow of the ACCA (FCCA), IMC qualified, and MBA educated, Darren brings a rare combination of underwriting judgment, financial acumen, and capital modelling expertise to I–RE.

Charles Kittrell

Charles Kittrell is a highly skilled financial analysis and Underwriting Operations specialist at I–RE, bringing experience across pricing model development, data management, technical systems, and underwriting support. He has played a central role in enhancing I–RE’s underwriting infrastructure, creating the foundation that supports accurate pricing and high-quality reporting for carrier partners.

Within I–RE’s underwriting team, Charles has developed pricing models for complex layered property programs, including those incorporating captive elements, while underwriting a diverse portfolio spanning property, general liability, and workers’ compensation. Leveraging advanced data modelling techniques, his financial analysis improves portfolio insight, and enhances the accuracy of underwriting decision support tools.

A key contributor to I–RE’s operational effectiveness, Charles leads initiatives to improve system performance, including CRM development, data integration enhancements, and the evaluation and procurement of underwriting critical software and modelling tools. He has automated essential reporting functions across bordereaux, invoicing, partner MI, and workflows.

Before joining I–RE, Charles worked at Thomson Reuters on the global Salesforce implementation, focusing on data quality, hierarchy integrity, and reporting automation. Earlier roles in asset management and commodities trading further strengthened his analytical skill set, market research depth, and systems fluency. He holds an MSc in Finance and Investments, CFA Level I, and a BSc in Chemistry and Physics, supported by extensive IT training and hands-on experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, and complex data environments.

Martin Quick

Martin Quick is I–RE’s Claims Director, responsible for leading the company’s claims and risk management function. Martin brings over 40 years of experience in commercial property and casualty claims management from across the UK and international markets. He formulates and executes claims strategies that strengthen client relationships, enhance operational efficiency, and protect profitability.

At I–RE, Martin oversees the development of claims-handling strategies and the coordination of third‑party administrators, loss adjusters, and defense counsel. His leadership ensures that claims are managed in alignment with underwriting intent, regulatory expectations, and insurer partners and captive performance objectives. During I–RE’s formative years, Martin contributed to the company’s claims governance and operational framework.

Martin’s earlier career includes senior leadership positions such as Claims Director at the Warwick Partnership and Managing Director of CMSL, an independent P&C claims handling and loss adjusting firm he founded and sold to Davies Group. Martin previously served as operations director and board member at McLarens Toplis, where he oversaw regional and national claims operations, and earlier held leadership roles at McLarens and RH Lister (Lloyd’s Syndicate 657).

Martin began his career as a Claims Inspector with Iron Trades Employers Insurance Association. With a career spanning loss adjusting, TPA management, claims strategy, and client‑focused service delivery, he brings expertise and strategic judgment to I–RE and insurer partners.

Andy is one of the Co-founders of I–RE and brings more than four decades of insurance, underwriting, and business development experience across the London market and international insurance sector. A seasoned strategist and commercial innovator, he has built and advised multiple insurance businesses, combining product development expertise with deep brand, marketing, and distribution capability to drive profitable growth.

Since founding I–RE in 2017, Andy has led the company’s commercial strategy, business development, and product design. He has been central to shaping I–RE’s differentiated cross-class insurance and reinsurance value proposition, aligning brand, marketing, sales, and technology to support disciplined underwriting and meaningful broker and client engagement. His leadership has helped establish I–RE as a trusted Bermuda-based MGA and reinsurer delivering a flexible, stable solution for captives.

Prior to I–RE, Andy founded and directed several insurance-related businesses, advising Lloyd’s syndicates, multinational insurers, TPAs, MGAs, and brokers on brand positioning, product innovation, and revenue growth. Earlier in his career, he held underwriting roles at ACE Europe and Lloyd’s Syndicate 1156, developing cross-class products and profitable portfolios. He has worked in the insurance industry since 1983 and holds ACII level professional qualifications.

Rupert has held pivotal leadership roles at major multinational insurers and three Lloyd’s syndicates. Simon Long

Simon is I–RE’s Managing Director, bringing over four decades of international insurance and reinsurance expertise across the U.S., UK, and global markets. Simon has deep technical credentials in underwriting, portfolio design, and complex risk structuring, with a career spanning frontline broking, delegated authority management, and executive leadership.

Since joining I–RE at its formation, Simon has been instrumental in building the organization from a UK‑based Lloyd’s coverholder into a Bermuda‑domiciled MGA and insurance company, underwriting U.S. insurance and reinsurance programs. He leads operational strategy, regulatory oversight, and underwriting governance, acting as a key interface between carriers, clients, and service providers.

His accomplishments include the design of actuarially approved multiclass underwriting models, development of innovative contractual and structural insurance solutions, authorship of policy language, and oversight of regulatory approvals, including UK FCA appointed representative status and successful operational migration to Bermuda.

Earlier in his career, Simon held senior roles at Willis, advising global financial institutions on insurance and risk for major infrastructure and PPP/PFI financings. He also spent several years managing insurance for a multinational construction group. His wide-ranging background underpins his ability to deliver disciplined underwriting, robust governance, and tailored solutions for carrier partners and insureds.

Bruno Saavedra

Bruno Saavedra is Head of Information Technology at I–RE, where he is responsible for the design, development, and management of the company’s technology infrastructure and internal platforms supporting underwriting and operational processes.

Bruno has a background in computer engineering and extensive experience in systems administration, cybersecurity, software development, and AI-assisted operational systems. He is the founder and CEO of HXB Informática e Tecnologia, a technology company that develops proprietary software frameworks and enterprise platforms.

Through HXB, Bruno designed and developed the internal Knowledge Center platform used by Worldwide Broker Network, serving more than 1,500 users globally, and built the operational management platform used by AESIS Network, which manages members, users, financial operations, invoices, and expenses through a dynamic real-time web interface. At I–RE, Bruno leads the development of internal technology platforms including AI-assisted tools supporting sales processes and document ingestion systems used to process insurance submissions and operational documentation.

Beverly Adams

Beverly Adams is an experienced insurance professional with extensive experience in underwriting operations and property underwriting support across Bermuda’s (re)insurance market. She brings strong technical accuracy, disciplined workflow management, and reliable broker-facing capability to I–RE’s Underwriting Operations team.

At I–RE, Beverly supports the underwriting team by preparing and reviewing policy documentation and endorsements, managing renewal and new business registers, coordinating credit control, and maintaining broker relationships. She ensures underwriting files, data, and transaction records are accurate and compliant, contributing to the smooth administration of I–RE’s RE–PAID program.

Before joining I–RE, Beverly served in underwriting and operations support roles at Alcor Underwriting, Neon Underwriting, and Oil Casualty Insurance Ltd., where she assisted property and general liability underwriters, maintained bordereaux, produced quotes and binders, processed regulatory documentation, and supported system enhancements and testing. These roles built strong technical competency across submission handling, policy issuance, reporting, and premium tracking.

Her earlier years at Aon Bermuda strengthened her broker‑side understanding through client servicing, invoice and policy processing, and coordination with London market teams. Beverly studied Business and related disciplines at St. Mary’s University in Canada and holds strong system and data‑management skills.
